What is your current class schedule? Our full schedule is listed in the parent portal and on the schedule tab. You can enroll for classes online by clicking Register/ Sign In above!
Is there class today? We strive to never cancel or rearrange classes, if at all possible. Things like inclement weather and emergencies do happen. If we are closed, you will receive an email prior! Holiday breaks are listed on the homepage. Performance days always mean no normal class, because we are performing!
What about makeup classes? If you are sick, traveling or we have a scheduled break you can makeup the class within 30 days! Please do makeups before the recital. Choose another class in your level, or ask your teacher for a suggestion.
Can my child join a class older than her if she is advanced? We always start kids in their age group first. If they are very advanced, we may bump them up a level next week. We find that many of our students are advanced for their age and classes can reflect that without dancing with older kids. It is better for self esteem to go up a level, rather than down.
How do I join the studio? Click Register, create an account and pay the registration fee with your first month's tuition. If you need help choosing a class, just give us a call at 503-383-4359!
Do I have to perform? No, students are not required to perform. Non performing students tend to feel very excluded when we try on costumes and do dress rehearsal, so we strongly recommend that dancers perform with the class!
What should I wear to class? Ballet- Leotard (solid colors please), pink tights and pink ballet slippers. Acro- Leotard and tights or yoga pants, bare feet. All other styles- leotard or fitted shirt and yoga pants, style appropriate shoes.
What should I bring? A water bottle, dance shoes, extra hair things, a healthy snack for after school if needed. Dress in warm layers for coming and going if it's cold outside.
What shouldn't I bring? Electronics, toys, extended family, friends to watch class, street clothes to wear during class.
Can my friend dance with me? Yes! They must have registered for a parent account and have a waiver on file. You can print and sign at home from the homepage, or their parent can come with you all and sign one in the studio.
How and when do I pay tuition? Group classes are $60 monthly (40 for creative movement) and students are set up on auto-pay. You can register for this in the parent portal. Tuition is deducted on the 5th day of each month.
When is recital? Dancing Through Candyland is May 19th.
How do I drop off/ Pick up my child? We are downtown at 211 Commercial St Ne. The street can be very busy for pedestrians, so parents are required to walk their kids in and out of class. Once students leave the studio, we are not responsible for them. Please help us keep your child safe by ALWAYS coming in to get them. Coming a few minutes early means you can watch them run the dance before class ends!
Can I stay and watch? Our lobby is open to parents, but space can be limited. Please remember one parent per child, and respect the other parents by making seating available to them as well. Grandparents and other family and friends are invited to all of our lovely performances, but not classes.
